Joseph Media plays an active role at the community level; using technology to contribute to local economic and social regeneration as well as hosting creative art programmes aimed at young offenders, mental health service users and disaffected young people.

We have strong ties with London Road Business Association located in West Croydon. One way we support the community is by delivering valuable classes and programmes that help businesses to enhance their strategies and appearance to encourage higher engagement and sales. As well as members of the community who may just need a little guidance.

Some examples of this include:

Our Shot programme, (Successfully Helping Organisations with Technology), is a programme that focuses on organisations and business owners, with the aim to enhance their business through technology. Some areas that we address are Website evaluation and design, SEOs (search engine optimisation), branding and online advertising.

Our CRIS programme, (Croydon Renewable IT Skills ), is a programme that focuses specifically on the older generations, helping them to feel more confident and become competent with using technology in their day to day lives. This could be simply how to navigate their mobile devices or how to use a computer. At Joseph Media, we understand that everyone has different skills levels, but this shouldn’t be a barrier to learning or improving.

In association with the partners of Croydon Carnival of Cultures, Joseph Media has supported this event for 10 years. The aim of this event is to celebrate the community of Croydon and their resilience after the 2011 riots, with food, music, dance and various other activities on the day. The shut down of the road and people coming together to enjoy each others company encourages increased footfall and therefore customer to the local businesses.

Another way Joseph Media has supported the business in their borough is by encouraging them to join the New Croydon Chamber of commerce division Of the South East London Chamber of Commerce. During this process we let businesses know what is on offer from the council, whether it’s free memberships, grants or general business support. We want our community to thrive so we try our best to share valuable information and resources. With a particular focus on those in the community who are often overlooked and forgotten about.

If there are any initiatives you feel we would be a good fit for or if you would like to find out more about our community programmes and outreach please get in touch!
